Mr. Brown had a tough job to live up to his stellar Feast of Fates and he pulled it off! Feast of Dreams, the second book in the Four Feasts Till Darkness series, did not disappoint. In the best epic fantasy tradition, the story is all about journeys, both emotional and physical. The characters pursue their own missions to stop the mad Sun King Brutus. All these missions are woven together so skillfully you never lose track of any them, and you can feel how high the stakes are because the characters are so vivid. So are the descriptions. I got totally pulled into the wilds of Alabion, the mines below Menos, and the rest of Geadhain.

This book fleshes out the main characters, Morigan and the Wolf, by revealing their pasts, events they weren't even aware of themselves! It's fascinating stuff, and satisfying to read. Thanks to all these revelations, it almost seems inadequate to call their relationship a romance. It's more like a partnership. Their love has matured and runs so, so deep.

Another thing I enjoyed was the introduction to the whole cosmology of this fantasy world. I loved the "Dreamers," characters not unlike the capricious gods of Greek mythology. They might be saviors one moment and a terrible curse the next. I look forward to seeing what they get up to in the next book.

I give this book 5 fangs

A fantastic fantasy novel that continues where feast of fates leaves off. Although I'm not a huge reader of this type of book I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it.

With the two queens trying to find a way to bring about each other's destruction and yet they both struggle to act quickly while the king is at a disadvantage and before his army can come into full power.

Morigan and the wolf as well as the rest of the group have to travel down dangerous paths and through the darkness they each must face their own skeletons some are very dark and surviving will change them all.

So much happens, and their are some unexpected surprises you will have to read to discover. The characters are in depth and the fantasy work reminiscent of lord of the rings, the flow is very good and from the beginning I was enraptured and couldn't stop reading.
I can't wait to see what will come to pass in book three!

If you thought it couldn't get any better well it certainly has! Christian A. Brown continues to take his readers on a spellbounding and ethereal journey that knows no boundary. Mortals and Ancient magical forces come together to save Geadhain from the dark lust of destruction that has over taken not only an Immortal King but an Iron Queen that ultimately leads to the destruction of her people. Morgan and Caenith continue to lead their pack of heroes in the fight to save all that is good an pure as their love grows and two souls become one in the second installement of this series. Christian A. Brown has brilliantly captured the essence of pain, suffering and love that exists within each of his characters (even the villains). He has weaved the element of surprise, sorrow that will leave you awed and at times in tears! The tapestry of the fates he has woven together will leave you wanting more! Truly another magnificent work of art, can't hardly wait for what comes next!
I received a free PDF in return for my honest review; however, before I was even 1/4 of the way through the book, I had purchased all three available books in the series. It is difficult to one-up oneself when writing a sequel, but the author has done it. What follows is a fantastic and epic continuation of a series I was skeptical of at first. Other reviews have compared this work to the works of J. R. R. Tolkien and G. R. Martin; I would have to agree. Morigan, Mouse, Caenith, Vortigern, and Thackery were near and dear to me after finishing the first book, and the second added more memorable characters to the mix. I cannot wait to read the third book, and I am so excited that the first part of book 4 will be out soon!!!
