This is the second book that I read from this Author, Jacob Kodesh.
This book is such an encouragement for those of us who seems to be going through the same trials and tribulations over and over again. It's very frustrating and stressful. I wholeheartedly recommend that you read this book to get your breakthrough and blessing. If you follow God's instructions in this book that is scriptural you will find that hope and peace.

Thank you, Jacob Kodesh. Your insight is amazing! Your book, "Hope is on the Horizon" answered so many questions I have as a Christian. Why do we have to go through the wilderness? Why do we keep having the same trial over and over. This is a great book for those who are going through trials, have been through trials or know someone going through trials....that said, this book is for everyone.
Let me just say that I admire those who are brave enough to publish their religious beliefs, often shaped by personal experiences. Kodesh's book has depth, maturity, and insight...but I have a few disagreements with its theology. For starters, the book is predicated on the assumption that God does not give us more than what we can handle. I strongly disagree with this notion I think Scripture has plenty of examples of God's people facing more than what they can handle, which often results in a series of catastrophic or otherwise poor decisions. I think the point of being given more than what we can handle is so we *don't* handle problems on our own...this is the purpose of the church community, and ultimately, trusting God himself to see us through. There were also some passages that seemed to suggest a works-based reward system, which I also disagree with. God choosing to bless us is not dependent on our behavior. Again, there are several examples in Scripture of people who screwed up, but were blessed richly anyway. King David, Sarah, and Jonah, just to name a few...

Still, Kodesh is to be commended for his desire to strengthen other Christians with his writing, which is clear and easy to follow. There is sure to be something that any Christian who has ever struggled (read all Christians) can gain from this book, without necessarily having to agree with all of Kodesh's convictions.
A fine primer on pressing toward God despite pain and problems . . . Kodesh encourages fellow Christians to seek out God especially when life is darkest and confusion greatest . . . Jacob Kodesh knows first-hand the downs of life. He writes how to move forward with a positive attitude. An inspirational and worthwhile read. This is an amazingly inspiring book that helped me get through a bad time and inspired me to go forward in my life to better myself through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I loved this book. No matter what difficulty in life you are going thru, this book will help you get thru it. Kodesh uses Bible verses for help and comfort. I have found the answers to what I was looking for. Tum every obstacle into a step on the road to greater faith, hope, and happiness. There's no doubting that life can be tough and sometimes even seems downright unfair. Even when life is toughest, even when you're battling more than your share of disappointments, you can rise above adversity and find new hope and true happiness Jacob Kodesh shows you how to keep your faith in good times and bad.

Unlike other motivational authors, Kodesh doesn't so much tell you how to "change" your life, as much as he shows you how to make the best of the life you now live. "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade" as they say. It will help you understand that God is really Good and not our enemy. His message shows that finding God replaces the emptiness and the fear of what might happen.I recommend this to anyone with doubts in their faith. After reading this, you'll never doubt again!
