I've never been into super heroes or comic books, but I'm always ready to read a good novel. I do watch all the super hero movies, though. So, I keep informed. This is a refreshing change to so many super hero stories out there. It's from the perspective of the super hero's friend, instead of the super hero himself. It's a fun read, and yet it has some deep, philosophical thoughts to ponder. It's well written with no holes in the story line. I give it 5 stars!

Superheroes never seem to go out of style, but in an age where they keep getting more and more powerful it's refreshing to have a tale about a superhero that's still learning how to be a super hero. The book centers on Anna but Davin's part in no small one by any measure, it's clear these two have a connection, where it will go and how it will develop, well that We will all have to wait to find out but I found their journey a fun read, Interested in finding out how their journey ends and who the stalker is.
This story provided a unique perspective in the superhero genre as seen from the viewpoint of the everyday friend/possible romantic interest of the hero. I would not classify this as an action/adventure story. It's more of a coming-of-age young adult clean read with a slightly unusual feel. Not quite a fantasy or paranormal as the superhero doesn't clearly display any abilities that are beyond an above average person's skills.

Not everyone might enjoy this book as it might be seen as a little slow to some, but it is a continuing trilogy so I expect more is to come. I actually can't wait to read the next book. This one is definitely for anyone looking for something a little different.
Tall, Dark Streak of Lightning was an enjoyable book to read casually this summer. While the book seems more geared towards the YA (young adult) crowd, the intelligent style and interesting plot work for slightly older audiences, too. It's the first book in a trilogy. The other two books aren't out yet, but I hope they will be soon! I'm already wanting to read more about Anna (the geeky college student longing for friendship) and Davin (the college outcast with an interesting secret).

I won't write a synopsis of the book's plot, but will say that while it was a bit predictable in places, it had enough suspense to keep me turning the pages. The main character was definitely well thought-out, and seemed like a real person to me. The motivation for the secondary characters wasn't always as obvious, but it didn't need to be (and I suspect those characters will be fleshed out more in the remaining two volumes of the series).

The book should appeal to anybody who considers themselves at least a little bit geeky (whether you're a comic book geek like the main character or have other interests). There's romance (but nothing slutty), suspense (but nothing terrifying), and faith elements (but nothing preachy). Overall, it's an interesting book that left me looking for more from this talented young author.
Good book for anyone who wants to fight the forces of evil. Sweet romance story without sex before marriage! Good story.

Great book! I often have a hard time finding a novel I can pour myself into but once I started reading Talk Dark Streak of Lightening, I couldn't put it down! Eagerly awaiting the second book!
I love superheroes. I also love it when "normal" people are just as interesting as the hero. I am a mom and have been out of college for *ahem* 16 years, but while reading this book, I was transported back to my dorm, campus and lunch room. It was all so real! Anna was someone I could relate to and I was drawn into her story. I finished this book in TWO DAYS! I haven't done that since the Hunger Games trilogy. Great read, HIGHLY recommended to those who love a great, clean, classy young adult novel.

Now, when do we see part two? I can't wait!!!
